Feather & Orange Beaded Earrings Truth and Reconciliation
September 30th marks a day of "Truth and Reconciliation" and remembrance as many wear bright orange t-shirts to honor the thousands of Indigenous children who were forcibly removed from their homes and subjected to the brutalities of residential schools. These institutions deliberately suppressed their cultures and languages, causing lasting intergenerational effects on First Nations, MĆ©tis, and Inuit Peoples. On Orange Shirt Day, we also pay tribute to the Survivors of these traumas.
